Sandqvist Östermalm
Store concept for Sandqvist - Everyday Bags & Items
When Sandqvist got their hands on a small shop situated in the middle of the most upscale shopping district in Stockholm - Biblioteksstan - we took another turn with their interior concept.  In the first  store on  Swedenborgsgatan the brand origin,  warmth and personality was communicated throught genuine materials and nordic simplicity, all with a DIY attitude. Raw pine plywood, floor planks and wooden walls painted grey.

The store on Jakobsbergsgatan 9 can be seen as a development - or refinement – of the existing concept. The nordic cabin meets the high-street.

Raw wooden walls are now substituted with a more detailed, smooth interior paneling.
The custombuilt interior, as well as  one whole side of the store,  is completely covered in matte-laqcuered pine plywood of high quality. A central floorstanding display piece clad in white carrara marble adds more gloss, light and a much needed contrast to the otherwise matte wooden interior. The raw concrete floor was kept intact.

The store has a sales area of modest 30sqm but still holds multiple display areas, visible and hidden storage as well as a proper customer service desk for wrapping etc.

The two large sliding doors at the far end of the store conceals the back-office and storage, but at the same time they act as hanging product display. By moving the doors, the small storage can be made into part of the store for campaigns, sales and other events.
